Noul an a venit cu scadenţa datornicilor la bănci, după ce pe par­cursul lui 2009 instituţiile de credit au preferat să amâne rambursarea restanţelor prin acordarea unor perioade de graţie sau reducerea valorii ratelor. Mulţi dintre cei care nu reuşesc să-şi achite datoriile nici după restructurare sau care pur şi simplu refuză acest lucru, după cum spun bancherii, riscă să-şi piardă casa sau alte bunuri gajate, chiar şi pentru datorii semnificativ mai mici decât valoarea ipotecii

Hoţii de carduri se mută de la ATM-uri pe Internet

Tranzacţiile online cu cardul continuă să crească şi pe timp de criză, odată cu dezvoltarea Internetului, a numărului deţinătorilor de carduri şi a platformelor de comerţ electronic. Fenomenul determină, implicit, înmulţirea fraudelor. Multe sunt cauzate de atacurile hackerilor care reuşesc, prin diverse metode, să intre în posesia datelor de pe card, succesul acestora fiind facilitat, uneori, de inocenţa şi lipsa de experienţă a românilor
în tranzacţiile online. Mai grav este că persoanele înşelate pot rămâne perioade bune de timp fără sumele de bani furate de pe card, pentru că băncile amână despăgubirile.
