Patrick Gelin pleacă de la conducerea BRD

Patrick Gelin, preşedintele BRD-Groupe Société Générale, se va retrage de la conducerea băncii începând de anul viitor, în locul acestuia fiind propus Guy Marie Charles Poupet. Într-un comunicat al băncii, transmis Bursei, se arată că alegerea noului administrator al băncii, ce urmează a-şi prelua atribuţiile din 1 ianuarie 2010, pentru o perioadă de patru ani, va avea loc în cadrul Adunării Generale Ordinare a Acţionarilor BRD, prevăzută pentru data de 14 decembrie 2009.

Gold keeps on surging, hits new high of $1,118 (AP)

The price of gold surged to a fresh high Wednesday as the dollar fell to a 15-month low. Gold futures for December delivery jumped to as high as $1,119.10 an ounce on the New York Mercantile Exchange in morning trading, then slipped back to $1,114.20, up $11.70 from Tuesday’s close.
